We are SME of the Year in the Thames Valley!

The NAV People have been awarded ‘Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) of the Year’ and second place in ‘Best Company to Work For’ by the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards 2016.  The Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards cover the M4, M40 and M3 corridors and are now in their 22nd year, making them the longest running awards in the region.

‘SME of the Year’ is given to the leading SME in the region, a position which is judged by the company’s product and service innovations, contribution to the industry and past and potential growth.  We don’t really need to expand on what ‘The Best Company to Work For’ prize recognises!

The awards dinner, which took place at the home of Reading FC, the Madejski Stadium, was presented by Gyles Brandreth; former MP and Government Whip and regular voice on Radio 4’s Just a Minute.  Sadly Brandreth was not sporting one of his usual flamboyant jumpers but he did not disappoint in his presentation of the awards, which was done with brilliant British cutting humour.

When asked what has made The NAV People the leading company it is, Matthew Dredge, Marketing & Sales Director, kept it simple: ‘We work hard and we have fun’.  The NAV People have grown from a company of under 10 employees to 140 in just 7 years and now have 4 offices, so the mantra must work!
